Job Description

Munson, Inc. is seeking an experienced, motivated Asphalt Sales & Project Manager to join our growing Paving Division. This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys both business development and hands-on project oversight. The right person will take ownership of the entire sales process—from estimating to final project closeout—while delivering exceptional service to our commercial, municipal, and residential clients.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with new and existing clients, including general contractors and property managers
  • Qualify leads and participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and networking events
  • Represent Munson with professionalism in all client communications

Estimating & Proposal Development

  • Interpret plans, specs, and bid documents to develop accurate estimates and responsive proposals
  • Clarify scope of work, address discrepancies, and identify qualifications or exclusions
  • Use tools such as Bluebeam®, Google Earth, and GIS mapping to assist in project scoping

Project Oversight

  • Serve as a liaison between sales, operations, and clients from project award through closeout
  • Track deliverables, timelines, and scope changes to ensure project success
  • Maintain a consistent, solution-focused approach to resolving project issues

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in asphalt paving sales or construction project management
  • Strong understanding of estimating practices and construction documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating tools (Bluebeam® preferred)
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred:

  • Experience working on municipal or public bid projects
  • Familiarity with WAPA best practices or related certifications
