Job Description

Prominent Long Island matrimonial and family law firm seeks Associate Attorney with 2+ years of divorce law experience. 

Responsibilities :

• Advise clients on divorce and family law 

• Maintain client relationships

• Negotiate favorable settlement terms

• Draft comprehensive settlement documents

• Advocate for clients in court

• Prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents

• Assist in trial preparation

• Perform legal research

• Average 35 hours per week billable time

• Maintain professional ethical standards

Qualifications :

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school

• Admission to the New York Bar

• 2+ years of experience in matrimonial law 

• Ability to build and maintain rapport with clients and colleagues

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong legal writing skills 

• Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
