Department BSD OBG - Maternal Fetal Medicine About The Department The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has 114 clinical providers, providing care at the main hospital in Hyde Park and seven off-site locations. The Department consists of seven sections: General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Family Planning, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology, and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. We have more than 60,000 outpatient visits, 25,000 ultrasound visits, 2,800 deliveries, and 3,000 gynecological surgeries per year. Teaching, research, and high-quality clinical care are top priorities. The residency and fellowship programs are highly ranked and have a history of training healthcare leaders. The Department also engages in significant research, including population health studies and laboratory research on tumor biology, fibroids, and hypertensive diseases in pregnancy. This position is funded by contractual grant funding, contingent upon continued receipt of funds and satisfactory job performance. Job Summary The role involves routine documentation, analysis, and reporting of research data, supporting strategic, administrative, operational, and financial decisions impacting clinical research at the University. It manages medium to highly complex studies with minimal oversight, including leading the postpartum remote patient monitoring program. Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, analyzing solutions, writing articles and reports, and mentoring lower-level staff. Responsibilities Manage three major studies: NIH-funded RCT on Aspirin to Prevent Cardiac Dysfunction in Preeclampsia STAMPP HTN - remote monitoring for patients with PPHTN BRIDGE - Biomarkers Registry for Preeclampsia (funded by Thermo Fisher) Participation in 'Luteolin road map' study funded by Gates Foundation Collaborate with faculty, staff, residents, and students to support research activities. Manage remote patient monitoring for 80-90 pregnant patients/month with hypertensive disorders. Coordinate study logistics, data collection, and analysis. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Research new study opportunities. Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple clinical trials, including budgets and IRB submissions. Serve as primary contact for sponsors and regulatory bodies. Assist in writing grants and manuscripts. Organize meetings, site visits, and manage study supplies. Design and maintain databases for data retrieval. Coordinate and mentor research support staff. Facilitate implementation of standardized care programs across hospital systems. Analyze data, conduct literature reviews, and prepare reports and manuscripts. Support clinical research activities such as specimen collection and patient interviews. Participate in quality assurance reviews and document analysis. Perform tasks related to clinical studies with a moderate level of independence. Perform other related work as needed. Education & Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: College or university degree in a related field; 2-5 years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Business, Administration, Communications, or related; 3+ years of research experience, preferably in an academic medical center.
