*This is a Contract to Hire position with the potential to transition into a full-time position after 90 days based on business need and performance. This role commutes into our Tempe, AZ location Monday-Friday.

About the team and position

The Contract Recruiter (90-day Contract to Hire opportunity) within our Operations Talent team is required to provide professional recruitment services, to ensure our department meets all staffing needs, and that all candidates and prospective employees have the best possible hiring experience! Developing strong business relationships with your (really awesome) coworkers is key and most importantly, you will see your insights have an immediate, tangible impact every day in a well-funded and rapidly growing company. Specifically, as a Contract Recruiter for one or more of our Operations teams (Logistics, Inspection Centers, or Customer Care), you will provide the full 360 recruitment process with a focus on entry-level candidates and high-volume recruiting, for all sites across the country.

Work Location

This role is located in our Tempe, AZ headquarters. Candidates must be able to commute to our office in Tempe, AZ near Arizona State University.

What you'll be doing as a Contract Recruiter

  • Sourcing candidates through various methods such as social media, Indeed, Carvana website.
  • Conducting in-depth phone interviews via phone
  • Provide resumes and screening notes for hiring manager interviews.
  • Manage the candidate expectations regarding the background check process, while working with both candidates and colleagues to ensure our candidates are processed for a successful hire.
  • Working with your key stakeholders to ensure you know what is expected of you, and what the business requires for each area of the Operations team's business.
  • Focus on a high conversion rate from interview to offer.
  • You will help us build a stronger company. Every day.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you should know/have

  • You should have at least 2 years of full cycle recruiting experience.
  • Experience using recruiting applications and creative methods to source qualified candidates. We use Greenhouse ATS.
  • Experience working with hiring managers and adapting sourcing strategies to match the needs of the team.
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency without sacrificing accuracy. We are fast-paced and need people who can keep up!
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfortable with change and can easily adapt.
