Job Title: Environmental Scientist
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to support site assessment, report writing, and the development of systems for site remediation and maintenance. The role involves conducting field assessments and traveling to various locations around Northeast Florida to perform Phase 1, Phase 2, and other assessments for new sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field assessments for environmental site evaluations.
• Perform Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental assessments.
• Develop and design systems for environmental remediation, including mechanical systems for pump, water, and air systems.
• Write detailed environmental reports and maintain accurate records.
• Travel to various locations in Northeast Florida for site assessments.
• Communicate effectively with the environmental team, reporting any field issues promptly.
• Work independently in the field while occasionally performing office-based tasks.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience in environmental science and land/soil remediation.
• Understanding of mechanical systems and design for environmental clean-up.
• Strong background in environmental remediation and waste management.
• Proficiency in soil sampling, air sampling, and site remediation.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste management and environmental compliance.
• Experience with GIS and environmental fieldwork.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience performing Phase 1 and Phase 2 assessments.
• OSHA 40 certification and Hazwoper training.
• Proficiency in geology and groundwater sampling.
• Strong communication skills for fieldwork reporting.

Work Environment

This position involves working predominantly in the field, with some office work required. The role may require travel within Northeast Florida. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
