General Scope:
The Flowback Operator III is a senior-level field role responsible for leading wellsite operations, overseeing the job site, and ensuring top-tier safety and performance in flowback and production processes. This role requires expert technical ability, leadership skills, and a strong focus on training and mentoring others.

Key Expectations:

• Lead safe and efficient setup, operation, and teardown of flowback and frac equipment.
• Oversee all site operations including manifold, SKO, line heater, plug catcher, and separator functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex site or equipment issues in real-time.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Train and mentor junior operators, providing technical instruction and support.
• Maintain detailed records and reporting for flowback data and equipment performance.
• Communicate with field supervisors, engineers, and management to align operational goals.
• Plan site logistics and equipment needs to ensure readiness on arrival.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of all well operations requiring flowback, testing, and completion services.
• Manag assigned tasks and prioritize based on operational deadlines.
• Ensure equipment settings and functionality are correct and aligned with well parameters.
• Actively participate and enforce SPC and Client HSE Programs, modeling safe behavior and ensuring compliance by all personnel.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting, including JSA’s, behavior-based observations, near misses, incident reports, and data sheets.
• Professionally represent SPC to clients, third parties, and the public.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of field experience in flowback and production operations.
• Proven ability to supervise and coordinate multiple job sites.
• Expertise knowledge manifold, plug catcher, SKO, line heater, and separator systems.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.

Certifications:

• Current Well Control certification required.
• H2S, First Aid, CPR, and additional site-specific safety training preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Ability to stand continuously.

· Ability to kneel, squat, push/pull, reach (including overhead), grasp/squeeze and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

· Ability to climb stairs/ladders and walk occasionally.

· Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.

Training Requirements

· PEC/SafeLand

· Smith Driving Instruction

· Forklift

· Additional training to be assigned as needed
