About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Finance for Claims to serve as a strategic partner to the Claims leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all financial aspects of the function, including leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. This role requires the ability to deliver executive-level insights, dashboards, and variance analysis to support decision-making, as well as the management of monthly close processes and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting. The Head of Finance will also be instrumental in maintaining strong internal controls, adhering to claims reserving methodologies, and leading transformation projects to optimize processes and enhance reporting capabilities. Candidates for this position should have 8-12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with a strong background in property and casualty insurance, particularly in claims operations. Expertise in claims reserve accounting, FP&A, financial modeling, and regulatory reporting is essential. The role demands a proven track record in supporting business transformation and technology implementations, proficiency in financial systems and data analytics tools, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, with a CPA or MBA being preferred. The ideal candidate will excel in dynamic environments and bring significant experience in insurance finance, specifically in support of claims or operational units.
