Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking Interventional Cardiologists to join our newly created multi-specialty cardiology clinic in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We have a multidisciplinary team that encompasses Cardiac Surgery, TAVR, Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology, and Advanced Imaging. Responsibilities include managing patients with cardiovascular disease, performing interventional cardiology procedures, and participating in general call coverage for the group. The opportunity offers a high volume of procedures, vascular and non-invasive cardiac imaging. Procedures include Coronary Angiograms and/or Cardiac Catheterization including Left Heart and/or Right Heart Catheterizations, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Atherectomy, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging, IFR/FFR, Pulmonary Artery Pressure Monitoring Device Implantation, Peripheral Angiograms, and Emergency and Rescue Procedures in the hospital for patients with myocardial infarctions and/or cardiogenic shock. Flexible scheduling with a 1 in 6 call. Ability to read echocardiograms, nuclear medicine, and non-invasive vascular studies. Highlights include 3 cardiac catheterization labs with state-of-the-art equipment including a hybrid lab for structural procedures, a new catheterization lab to be built in the next 18 months, steady STEMI volume, and experienced laboratory staff. Minimum requirements include MD, DO, or MBBS degree, BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology and General Cardiology, proficiency in PCI, competence in peripheral vascular procedures and structural heart capabilities welcome, current or eligible Virginia State license, excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, and no J1 visa support.
