Job Description

Job Description

Amaze Health is a virtual healthcare company unlike any other. We provide concierge-style virtual care at the touch of a button. It’s like having that “doctor friend” everyone wishes they had for anything health-related (current health concern, illness, accident, chronic condition, mental health, etc.). Amaze is the always-accessible, independent healthcare partner dedicated to empowering our patients with all the care, tools and resources they need to thrive within an increasingly complex and difficult US healthcare system. We don’t just take care of people; we partner with them and change lives. Join our innovative team as we transform healthcare in America, one patient at a time

Helping people make sense of care and costs isn’t just a task—it’s a promise. Every day, patients face a maze of coverage rules, referrals, and bills. You’ll be the guide who turns complexity into clarity. If you’re energized by solving puzzles, advocating for others, and turning red tape into green lights, this role is for you.

You won’t read from a script. You’ll listen, analyze, and act—so patients feel informed, supported, and one step closer to the care they need.

What You’ll Do

  • Make insurance understandable
    • Verify benefits across HMOs, PPOs, EPOs, Medicare, Medicaid, and more.
    • Translate coverage details and out-of-pocket costs into clear, simple language.
    • Set expectations early so patients know what comes next—and why.
  • Support the denial and appeal journey
    • Explain denial reasons in plain terms and outline the path to resolution.
    • Gather documentation, medical records, and provider notes to build strong appeals.
    • Coordinate with providers, billing teams, and payers to ensure accurate, complete submissions.
    • Track appeal status, keep patients informed, and escalate when necessary.
    • Advocate relentlessly to maximize successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate referrals without the runaround
    • Connect patients to providers and services that are the best price and match for their needs.
    • Secure prior authorizations and referrals to reduce delays in care.
  • Be the steady voice patients trust
    • Support patients via phone, chat, email, and portal with empathy and precision.
    • Ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and offer clear next steps.
    • Partner with clinical and billing teams to deliver timely, appropriate care.

Requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Personable: You build trust quickly and bring warmth to every interaction.
  • Tech-savvy: You’re comfortable with evolving platforms, Microsoft Office, and PC-based tools.
  • Confident: You assess situations in real time and make sound judgments.
  • Service-oriented: You put patients first and follow through.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in financial counseling, patient financial services, or insurance follow-up within healthcare or health insurance; strong knowledge of the revenue cycle.
  • Certification: Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Language: Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
  • Workspace: Ability to maintain a professional, focused environment and manage sensitive information with discretion.

Why Join Us?

  • Team-oriented culture: Thrive in an office setting that encourages collaboration, open communication, and mutual support to achieve shared goals.
  • Office-based rhythm: Regular attendance at our office is required to strengthen teamwork, accelerate problem-solving, and improve patient outcomes.
  • Mission with impact: Help remove barriers to care so patients get what they need—when they need it.
  • Supportive partnerships: Work closely with compassionate clinical and administrative teams who value your expertise.
  • Professional growth: Build depth in advocacy, payer processes, and healthcare operations while sharpening your analytical and communication skills.
  • Meaningful outcomes: See the results of your work in successful appeals, smoother referrals, and less stress for patients and families.

Every patient deserves a clear path forward. Join us, and help turn complex systems into straightforward steps—one conversation at a time.

Benefits

Amaze provides an extensive benefits package featuring medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with paid time off and a 401(k) plan.

Pay range for this position is $58,000 - $70,000 annually

Amaze is located in the Denver Tech Center near Bellview and I25.
