Job Description

A manufacturing company in Shelton, CT is looking for surface mount machine operators. Must have amazing eyesight, patience, attention to detail and steady hands. They must be quick to inspect their product and but be punctual/reliable.

POSITION: Surface Mount Technology Machine Operator

HOURS & COMPENSATION: Full time 40 hours per week

Monday-Thursday 7-4 with a half an hour break for lunch. Friday 7-1 no lunch.

JOB DUTIES: Operators are responsible for running the Surface mount process of assembling the components on the circuit boards. This is the first step. They must pull all parts needed from our stockroom according to the bill of materials. Setting up those parts on feeders. Use stencil printers to apply solder paste to the blank circuit boards. Run the boards on the machine. Visually inspect the final product when finished on the machine. Place the inspected product in our reflow oven. Break down the feeders when the job is complete. Clean the machine and surrounding area.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED. Experience is preferred but not necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing or sitting for short-long periods of time. Ability to sit and stand back up sometimes within minutes of each other. Ability to carry 10-25 pounds. Ability to inspect very small components on PCBs for long periods of time.
TRAINING PLAN: All hired applicants will be trained in mandatory company procedures and safety as described in the Employee Manual.
